Only one of the four (July 4) showed open interest actually rising, suggesting new leveraged longs entering; the other three look like plain beta riding the broader market rally. External attention signals show no ADA-specific search or community spike backing any of this.
A third reading: this may not be ADA's story at all, but a rules-based bounce triggered by extreme fear. OpenClue shifted its ADA stance from cautiously bearish to neutral on July 2 — but the underlying 30-day thesis hasn't changed: DeFi TVL sits at just 11% of its historical peak, staking participation is sliding, and that deterioration hasn't gone anywhere. It's just being temporarily outvoted by the panic-buying playbook.
What would tip the scale? A genuine ADA-specific catalyst — TVL recovering, staking rebounding — would make this rally worth taking seriously. Another alert reading "no specific catalyst, positioning flat" just confirms it's beta with no foundation underneath.
