更值得注意的是链上信号。10月18日的日报提到,以太坊出现链上净流入交易所的现象——币从钱包转入交易所,通常被看作潜在抛压信号,因为持币人把币放到交易所往往是为了卖。这和比特币同期从交易所净流出(囤币信号)形成了对照:一边是机构和链上都在减仓,一边是继续囤。

Ethereum's spot ETFs have now posted four straight days of net outflows, with weekly tracking data showing over $320 million leaving. Go back a couple days and the October 18 count was three straight days of outflows totaling more than $1 billion. Stack those together and this isn't a one-day blip — it's a drain that's been building for nearly a week. Meanwhile Bitcoin's spot ETF pulled in $527 million in a single day. Institutional appetite is clearly splitting in two directions.
The on-chain picture adds another layer. The October 18 daily brief flagged net ETH inflows to exchanges — coins moving from wallets into exchanges, typically read as a potential selling signal since holders usually park coins there to sell. That's the mirror image of Bitcoin, which saw net outflows from exchanges over the same stretch, a classic hoarding signal.
Our ETH thesis tracking shows that in the first three weeks of the past month, a single-day 5.8% rally combined with exchange outflows briefly pushed the stance to bullish — but that confidence started wobbling almost immediately. This week's ETF outflow streak alongside the renewed exchange-inflow selling signal lines up directionally with that earlier wobble.
ETH currently trades at $2,391.29, down 1.2% on the day and 4.9% off its 7-day high. Whether capital is systematically rotating from ETH into BTC is too early to call outright, but two separate data lines — ETF flows and on-chain flows — are pointing the same way right now.
